Sony to Roll Out Blu-Ray Recorder in Japan in December

On October 3, Sony announced that it will launch a 500Gb Blu-ray recorder in Japan in December, with a price tag of 300,000 Yen (US$=2,553; US$1=117.5 Yen). The initial monthly capacity of the recorder, codenamed BDZ-V9, is expected to reach approximately 10,000 units.
